Evan M. Peterson Professional Summary

Evan Peterson has extensive experience providing and directing staff training, program development, case management systems, and clinical social work. His previous work experience includes development, implementation, and management of treatment programs for chronically mentally ill adults, adolescents with substance abuse problems, and individuals with chronic illness and grief issues.

He has consulted with Head Start programs on staff skills and child development, provided evaluations, expert court testimony, and case management for adolescents with substance abuse problems, and served as a Juvenile Probation Officer in Cook County, Illinois. His experience in social services has resulted in Evan being certified in court as an expert over 20 years.

Evan is a respected and entertaining presenter, having trained thousands of professionals over the years at professional associations, conventions, community organizations, and public and private employers of every size including the Fortune 500 and the Ivy League.

As Vice President of Dovetail, Inc., he provides risk management consultation, training, coordination and monitoring of fitness for duty evaluations, crisis counseling, critical incident debriefing, substance abuse and mental health assessments for local governments, law enforcement, human services and professional organizations, insurance companies, universities, manufacturing and transportation employers, utilities, and other Employee Assistance Programs.

Evan received a Masters Degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, Summa Cum Laude, from North Park University. He is an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Michigan Licensed Master's Social Worker, a certified Disaster Mental Health Technician for the American Red Cross, and a Substance Abuse Professional under US Department of Transportation regulations.
