The Trainer
Evan Peterson is an Illinois Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Michigan Licensed Masters Social Worker. He has been a qualified SAP working with safety sensitive transportation employees since 1998. He has worked in every transportation mode. As a dynamic and energetic presenter, he has conducted hundreds of workshops in 18 states for professionals and employees of public and private employers including the Fortune 500 and the Ivy League.

How Do I Know This is Legitimate?
Excellent question. Perhaps this explanation will help you answer that question.

Send an e-mail to saptraining@evanmpeterson.com. Please state the following:
Your name, Clinical License or qualification to be an SAP (49 CFR 40.281/a),
and the city and month/year in which you want your training to be held.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail that you have joined the “[City] [Month/Year] SAP Qualification Training Group.” Each month leading up to the training, you will receive at least one e-mail with information telling you if we have met the target number of participants along with proposed dates and location. At this point, you're on the honor system. No payments until the date and location is announced.

When the minimum number of participants have signed up, the training date and location will be set. You will then be asked to confirm your attendance by registering. Those regiustering early are offered generously discounted fees. In the continental US, the 2011-2012 regular fee will be $350 to $450 for workshop and materials depending upon location costs. Continental breakfast provided each morning. Hotel discounts will be made available.

When your payment is received, you will be given a homework assignment to complete prior to the workshop. This workshop has been prepared with the assumption that you are committed to being an SAP who practices with care and excellence. This will not be an "I talk and you listen" workshop. US DOT requires SAP Training to provide knowledge, skills, and that we discuss issues we confront in our practice as SAPs.
