ARGH! My e-mail crashed on 2/26/2008

From sometime around 3:00 PM on Tuesday, 2/26/2008 until 12:40 PM on Wednesday, 12/27/2008, e-mail to and from evanmpeterson.com stopped being sent and received. The e-mail server, which is hosted in Chicago, mysteriously stopped working.

All e-mail was not been delivered, presumably will never be delivered. Unless you happen to read this you would be none the wiser because the server was not responding. My host, who shall remain nameless on the theory that if you have nothing nice to say at the moment, say nothing, fixed the problem on 12/27/2008.

If you sent me an e-mail during those hours, please re-send it. If you didn't save it, please call me at 815-861-8800 if you need to contact me.

I did create backups of all of my e-mail prior to 2/26/2008, so none of that is lost.

The lesson here: do not trust technology - any technology - to keep track of your life.
